How it works

From the plan to the photos

Memoroam starts as the place your group plans the trip. Once you’re away, the plan becomes the journal: each evening it asks how the day went.

The three steps

  1. Step 1

    Plan it together

Invite everyone going with one link. Suggest ideas, vote in polls and lock in each day, with the bookings beside the plan.

    • Group chat with a tag for each day
    • Ideas board, polls and locked-in plans
    • Flights and stays beside the day they belong to

The Organiser sets up the trip and sends one invite link. Travellers join with an account, or as a Guest if they only want to help plan.

Ideas go on the board, the group votes, and each day gets locked in, by the Organiser or anyone they allow. Flights, stays and tickets sit beside the day they belong to.

Polls settle the rest: where to eat, which day for the museum, what time to meet. When a poll closes, the idea moves to the day or time the group picked.

  2. Step 2

    Share each evening

At the time you choose, everyone gets a link to that day. The plan is already there, so a photo and a line is enough.

    • Evening reminders by email or notification
    • Works with no signal and sends later
    • Keep a post or photo to the group

Each Traveller picks the time for their evening reminder. It links straight to that day: what you planned, what the others have posted, and a button to add yours.

Posts can hold words, photos and short clips of up to a minute. No signal in the mountains? Write it anyway; it sends when you are back online.

Some moments are just for the group. Mark a post or a photo as group-only and followers never see it.

  3. Step 3

    Family follows along

Send the follow link to the people at home. They see the photos and stories, react and comment, never the planning chat.

    • No app or account needed to follow
    • You choose what followers see
    • Updates by email, as they happen or daily

Followers open a link and see the trip as it unfolds: each day, its posts and photos. They can react and leave a comment.

You decide whether followers see the plan for a day before it happens or only once it is over, and whether new followers need approving.

Followers choose how often they hear from you: an email as posts arrive, or one a day.

What followers see: the trip cover, a Follow button and the latest day
