About these terms
Memoroam is run by The Trustee for Schneiders Future Trust, ABN 85 686 321 507 (“we”, “us”). These terms cover memoroam.app and the Memoroam app. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
The beta
- Memoroam is in private beta. Joining needs an invite code, or an invitation to someone’s trip.
- Features may change, appear or disappear while we learn what works. We may reset or remove beta features with notice where we can.
- We work hard to keep your trips safe, but beta software can have problems. Keep your own copies of photos and clips that matter to you; you can download your data at any time.
- Trips are free for invited testers during the beta.
Your account
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Memoroam accounts are for people aged 13 and over. A parent can invite their own child under 13 to a trip; the parent agrees on the child’s behalf and, with any partners they choose, controls what the child shares. Younger children can also come on a family trip without an account.
- Tell us straight away at hello@memoroam.app if you think someone else has used your account.
Your posts and photos
- What you post stays yours.
- You give us permission to store, copy, resize and show it, only to run Memoroam for you and the people you share it with (for example, to make thumbnails, the trip overview and the PDF trip book).
- That permission ends when you delete the post, the trip or your account, apart from copies in backups until they are replaced.
- Only post things you have the right to share, and think about the people in your photos, especially children.
Sharing with others
- A trip is shared with the people on it. The Organiser decides who joins, who follows and what followers can see.
- Once someone has seen a post, they could save or screenshot it. Choose followers you trust.
- Follow and invite links let people in. Only send them to people you mean to invite.
Fair use
Please don’t use Memoroam to:
- post anything illegal, hateful, threatening, or sexual content involving anyone under 18;
- harass people or share someone’s private information without their permission;
- send spam, or invite people who haven’t asked to be invited;
- try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or disrupt the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Prices and payments
- Payments are switched off during the beta.
- When they are switched on: your first trip is free, later trips cost US$10 each, paid once by the person organising, and trip packs cost less per trip. Prices are shown before you pay.
- Refunds follow the Australian Consumer Law, and anything else we offer at the time of purchase.
Leaving, or being asked to leave
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data.
- If we ever close Memoroam, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to download your trips.
Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that services are provided with due care and skill.
- Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows, Memoroam is provided as it is during the beta, and we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as a missed flight, a closed attraction or an outage at a provider we rely on.
Changes
We may update these terms as Memoroam changes, and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Memoroam after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. Questions or problems? Email hello@memoroam.app; we would much rather sort things out together.
